Loving this season of Teen Wolf. The restructuring of the cast has really worked to the show's benefit, particularly the greater use of Holland Roden's Lydia.
Liked Halt and Catch Fire's full season. It was an interesting, potent dramatic arc that went to some great places, and had some unconventional things to say about our hero worship of 'genius'. The show was sometimes frustrating, sometimes boring, but often charged with a great energy.
The Leftovers is beautiful, haunting, and melancholy. So much better than I expected from the original reports, where it sounded much more rapture-y. This, instead, is a steady and unflinching exploration of how profound mystery affects and destabilises us. I've seen 5 episodes of it and I adore it.

Yeah, if The Leftovers keeps this up it's gonna take my number one favorite TV show slot pretty quick. Really, all I needs is a sold season finale for it to take over. Friends that I tell to watch it always want me to give them a couple other shows to compare it to and I don't think I've ever really been able to properly find one.
It's odd because most critics claim it's very, very depressing but I don't really see it that way. It's no more sad to me than Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead it's just that those shows have the "fun" ultra violent action set pieces to break up the character work.
Really liked Halt and Catch Fire too. It took me about half the season to really develop any sort of attachment with the characters but once I did I was pretty much hooked.

Just started watching the show "Turn" on AMC. I'm only three episodes in but I'm liking it so far. There's no real surprises to be found but somehow they manage to really keep ratcheting up the tension from time to time. Great performances as well.
At first I worried the show might not last due to a period piece like this probly being pretty expensive to produce but then I look at a show like "Hell on Wheels" and figure if that can make it Four seasons "Turn" should be just fine.

Just binged through the first season of DirecTV's "Full Circle" and it's pretty damn good. The way the show works is that two characters sit in a restaurant and have a conversation for the full 30 min episode. One of those characters moves on into the next episode and has a conversation with someone else. Considering almost every episode is essentially just one long scene it's pretty compelling stuff.
Since watching it I've kinda toyed with the idea of completely stealing the concept as a writing exercise.
