I approve of all of them (although I've not heard of Anya Marina). Mumford and Sons are bloody brilliant though. Little Lion Man gets me dancing around like a fall and as I've said before, a lot of stuff on Swift's Red is brilliant - "All Too Well" especially.
Personally, I have a serious pop music addiction right now. Especially Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball". Please don't judge me too much.

Won't judge you mate, just got my hands on her album myself, out of nothing other than sheer morbid curiosity. I love the girl though, can't stand any of these knobs who are tearing her apart for what she's doing, etc. Let her do whatever the fuck she wants, she's not telling any of US how to live our lives...

I've listened to "Wrecking Ball" way too often recently for my tastes, both the original and Eli Lieb's excellent cover. I'm not quite sure why (as I hate a good portion of the lyric work), but it's hooked me.
Recently grabbed a handful of songs off iTunes that are a Writing Music playlist for a new project: Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" (though I hate, hate, hate that it has a stupid rap portion), Panic at the Disco's "Far Too Young to Die", Mumford & Sons' "Broken Crown" and July Talk's "The Garden". I'll be spamming those four tracks for the next few weeks as I develop an outline for the script.

Writing to the Man Of Steel soundtrack is one hell of an experience.
Loving what I've listened to of James Blunt's new album. Don't care what people say about him, I love his material. Looking forward to Avril Lavigne's new album too, which I think is out next week. The singles that have come off it so far have been top top stuff.

Downloaded the Arkham Origins soundtrack a few days ago. It's kinda weird listening to the score for a game I haven't played yet but it makes for solid enough background music.
I also just cracked open my "Christmas" playlist on spotify.

My sister's introduced me to Katie Herzig, and her stuff's pretty cute and fun to listen to. I'm enjoying it.
I've fallen in love with the Nico Vega version of "Bang Bang", which played on commercials for A&E's recent Bonnie & Clyde miniseries. I cant stop listening to it; it's like an oldie with the production of a new song. I love it.

I love the main song from FROZEN, Let it Go as sung by the fantastically talented Idina Menzel.

Great song. Even better video sequence. The character's transformation in just a few minutes is startling but also completely believable, and I haven't even seen the movie yet!

I haven't either, I'm going to try and sneak in and see it over the next couple of days cause the bits I have seen make me giddy! I'm quite emotional right now just in general and I know I'll be balling. Menzel has such an amazing voice. I love her Wicked!

*docks Dan Taylor one hundred billion man points* Night Visions by Imagine Dragons is a great album. I initially just had the EP of it, but now I've got the full album... happy camper!

Have you ever tried Spotify - That's pretty awesome with having any kind of music when you're writing. You can type whatever group or movie title and the complete listing (most of the time) is there to listen to. Some ads but not bad. I really like the Man of Steel and Spider-Man soundtracks. Awesome stuff. Kyle West - I think you should try One Direction

Ha! I'd rather not - I already had to sit through one of their albums last night as part of my research! Never again!

I'm a little slow on the uptake but I really enjoy Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' album - The Heist. Outside of the big hits, there are actually a few very heartfelt and honest tracks, and they pack a huge emotional punch. The band This Will Destroy, often referred to as post-rock (though they hate the term) is awesome - it's a strange mix of ambient soundtrack with rock music. It's quite beautiful, and one of their tracks, The Mighty Rio Grande was used as the backbone for Mychael Danna's soundtrack for Moneyball. Found a resurgence in my enjoyment of Pretty Lights' music as well.
And of course, film score - absolute love the soundtrack for Rush (composed by Hans Zimmer), and the licensed music from that era are all amazing as well. Are there any other soundtracks from recent films that people would recommend?

I've made an 8tracks playlist for the songs I've been using to develop my screenplay More, and I've put that up here.
