What is The March Family Letters?
Ever since its publication, readers have fallen in love with the hilarious and heart-warming story of the March family. Featuring relatable conflicts and strong female characters, the tale of four sisters growing up under the guidance of their mother resonates as much today as it did nearly 150 years ago. With The March Family Letters, viewers will finally be able to interact with these beloved characters on a new and exciting level.
But what is The March Family Letters? A webseries, with vlog-style episodes featuring the four March sisters (Jo, Amy, Meg, and Beth) and their mother Marmee. Told through transmedia - a dynamic mix of posts via social media platforms - and video blogs, the series will explore the lives of the March family. The show is produced by Cherrydale Productions in association with The Transmedia Zone @ Ryerson University.

Who are the members of the March family?
The March family is five members strong. Jo March is the second oldest child and is an outspoken, independent tomboy and feminist with a passion for filmmaking. Ambitious and stubborn, her dream is to make an action movie starring a female hero. Her blunt nature and quick temper often gets her into trouble. Amy March (Cassidy Civiero) is the youngest child and is a passionate, self-centered, kind-hearted, wannabe hipster. She is also a talented artist and makes sure everyone knows it. But not too many people, because that would be too mainstream. Meg March (Jessica Allen) is the oldest child and is hardworking, materialistic, motherly and vain. She is currently working on completing a Bachelor’s of Engineering. She dreams of having a wealthy job and a wealthy husband so she can finally enjoy the luxuries of life. Beth March is the second youngest child and is a shy, compassionate, introvert who adores music. She is often the peacekeeper between her sisters and is always ready with a sweet treat if someone is feeling down. And Margaret (“Marmee”) March is a loving single mother of four young women. She is also an officer in the Canadian Forces. She is kind and open-hearted, with a desire to change the world for the better.
While the Marches are our viewpoints into this world, we will meet other characters as their stories expand. Friends, lovers, bosses, antagonists. And as those characters join their world, they will be added here.
