(SPOILERS)
Hey, just gave Cradle Song a read. For the most part, I liked it. Shannon, you did a great job with the setting, Moosonee. It's really a character of it's own, and is explored very in depth. The characters were solid as well, the twins were really likable protagonists, even if they were perhaps a little too flawless. I liked the side characters a lot, like Al and Aaron, who really were easy to visualize in my head and seemed genuinely interesting. The plot took a little too long to take off, in my opinion, and took too little time to resolve itself. I enjoyed the last 15 or so pages, but I felt like I wanted more. Finally, when Mr. Robinson starts coughing and the children have to leave, I felt like it was a cheap way to leave the mystery hanging (unless, knowing the impending danger, Mr. Robinson did so intentionally). However, it lead to the barn rave, which was a scene I really enjoyed, so no complaints. All in all, I think, though it could be improved upon, I would definitely like to see this put into a short film. I hope you find my notes helpful, I would love to read more!
