With TIFF in town these past couple weeks, there have been a lot of film titles swimming around me. Up until this year I rarely paid attention to the film world, aside from the big blockbusters 'everyone' has to see like the Avengers, but I'm developing a taste for good indie/drama movies now. So my list of movies I want to catch when I can is growing. Listing these is partially because I'll want a reminder when they finally start being properly released... My current list, off the top of my head (and the TIFF catalogue): Short Term 12, The Spectacular Now, Can a Song Save Your Life?, Labor Day, All the Wrong Reasons, August: Osage County, Bad Words, Dallas Buyers Club, Don Jon, Gravity, How I Live Now, Hateship Loveship, Lucky Them, Only Lovers Left Alive, The Right Kind of Wrong I've heard good things about most of these - strong performances, interesting stories, rave reviews. Others just star actors I really like, which often can keep me interested in an otherwise meh movie. I'm gonna be keeping an eye out for these as they release. Most of those are from TIFF, but others (Spectacular Now, Short Term 12) I've just heard reviews or seen trailers that caught and kept my interest.
How about you guys? Any movies you're looking forward to catching, either blockbusters or smaller films?

See Frozen, it may be a Disney animated film, but it's a good story.

I'm planning to see both as soon as I can. I love David O'Russell's films and Frozen is just, well it's Disney isn't it, golden almost everytime!

I love a good Disney film!
The Toy Story trilogy is one of the most perfect film franchises of all time.

There's a few movies that interest me but none enough fork over $15 or whatever it costs these days.
American Hustle- Been a fan of David O. Russel since "I Heart Huckabees" and have never really disliked anything he's done.
22 Jump Street- The first one was a pretty fun ride and this looks like more of the same.
Hours- I kind of devour anything involving Hurricane Katrina and I love father/daughter stories so I suspect i'll like his one.
Amazing Spider-Man 2- I didn't really care for the first one but I kinda feel like if I don't see every comic book movie possible someone's gonna come take away my nerd card and I won't be able to get into the clubhouse anymore.

American Hustle is great. I fully recommend it. Speaking for myself, I can't wait for Spidey 2

I'm looking forward to the following:
The Wolf of Wall Street - the script has been uploaded online (Oscar consideration and all) and I'm a sucker for spoilers. Having just read the book, I loved the script so I can't wait to see the film itself.
Transcendence - Not much to it, to be honest. The script was listed on The Black List, and director Wally Pfister has been Christopher Nolan's cinematographer since Memento. Anyone who knows me knows I'm an enormous fan of Christopher Nolan and Team Nolan overall. This is Wally's directorial debut and stars some awesome actors - Rebecca Hall, Johnny Depp, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, and the list goes on. Even if it's a standard blockbuster, I'm excited because Wally Pfister is one of my major influences, visually speaking.
Interstellar - towards the end of the year, Chris Nolan's next film comes out. A bona fide sci-fi film based on theories developed by Kip Thorne (real life genius who worked with Stephen Hawking). The screenplay was originally written for Spielberg by Jonah Nolan (huge fan of him as well, duh) and Chris took the mantle as announced in January 2013. He's made his changes to the 2008 draft I read (I'm not kidding when I say I'm a sucker for spoilers). The teaser came out recently and it's beautiful. I cannot wait. I expect it'll be on par with his other originals, which are arguably his best films, save for The Dark Knight.
22 Jump Street - because holy crap the first was hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard in a contemporary comedy, even less so on repeat viewings. I've got high hopes for the laughs with this one.
I'm sure there's more but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Looking forward to seeing The Lego Movie next weekend. All my friends went together this week (while I was at the dentist, gah) and they all loved it.

Jurassic World is pretty high on my list right now but it's a very cautious optimism. On one hand I love the idea of a fully functioning Jurassic Park for the sheer number of potential victims but the hybrid dinosaur and domesticated Velociraptors have the potential to be truly awful.
Chappie is another one of those with great potential amazing or horrid. The advertising doesn't seem to be doing it many favors but I really like Neil Blomkamp's work so far so I'll be giving this one a chance.
