I've been stocking up my game collection since getting a PS3 from my roommate after she moved to Boston. So far, I've picked up: Alice 2: Madness Returns, Final Fantasy XIII, Uncharted 1, Assassin's Creed, Soul Caliber IV, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, LA Noire and PlayStation® All-Stars Battle Royale.
I watched my cousin play through Alice 2, which was a ton better than I expected (the final full level is a masterclass in level design, seriously), and I've started playing All-Stars with my cousins for fun. Going to dig into the rest of them once I have more free time on my hands - the Arkham games first, of course.

The Arkham games are great fun. Haven't played the latest yet but Arkham City is still one of my favorite games of all time.

I'm loving Arkham Asylum so far. I don't get that many opportunities to sit down and play it, which makes it all the more special when I get the chance to.

Asylum is a game I'd like to play again just for its amazing story. I've been watching Da Vinci's Demons lately though and it's got me eager to go through the Assassin's Creed 2 trilogy again. That's a helluva time commitment though.

Played Injustice: Gods Among Us for the first time the other night on PS3 with my sister. Fun stuff! Might tackle the single-player mode tonight...

That's a great game. Made me sad having to trade it in!
Bring on Xmas day - Marvel Lego!

Injustice is one of those games I'd like to give a try just because I'm such a DC fanboy and the tie-in comics are amazing but I am not a fan of Mortal Kombat style fighters in anyway so I'm not willing to throw money at it. That said, I noticed the Mobile version is free in the google play store so I might check that out.

I got a 3DS over Christmas and have been digging into my two main games - Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, which I'm almost done and have loved (it's like the best of the old handheld Zelda games I grew up with) and, after being out of this particular series for a decade, Pokemon Y, which has been a nice little blast from the past.

I got Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the 3DS a couple days ago and it is AWESOME. Perfectly suited to the handheld experience, and a real blast from the past. My child self is happy.

The trailer for the next game in the Batman: Arkham series has been released. Batman: Arkham Knight is the title and it looks like it's going to be exclusive to the new generation of consoles. While I probably won't be able to afford an Xbox One by October this game will probably be the reason I eventually get one. Here's a super long (4min) and super pretty trailer for the new game.
I was really hoping we'd get a No Man's Land for the final chapter of the series but this looks pretty damn good either way. And hell, maybe No Man's Land could be the start of a whole new series?
This game's got me really, really tempted to head over to amazon and order Arkham Origins. Has anyone played that one yet? I've read mixed reviews.

A new studio did Origins, so I also heard mixed reviews. I'm still halfway through Asylum, personally...

Been playing Mario 64 DS, and am absolutely loving it. That game was one of my favourites as a kid, so revisiting it on the DS has been a lot of fun - especially the new levels! Good stuff.

My mum loves the original Nintendo classics - my childhood was punctuated with my mum juggling three kids and SNES games that didn't have a save function yet, after all. So ahead of her hip surgery last week (she's home and all ood now), I got some 3DS games for her to play to shake off her pre-surgery anxiety: New Super Mario Bros 2, Kirby Triple Deluxe, and Mario Kart 7.
I haven't gotten the chance to play Mario - that's her favourite, after all - but I've gotten to try the Kirby and Mario Racing titles. They're good! I always questioned whether Mario Racing was worthwhile on portable, as I always saw it as a party game, but it's a fun diversion. And Kirby Triple Deluxe, a world in, recalls the better games of the SNES era when Kirby was the best.
So, officially declaring my 3DS purchase 100% worth the money. Definitely a fun system.

I don't know what it is but I just can't play old school games. I grew up on Mario and Sonic but I can't stand that stuff now. Once I played my first game with a deep engrossing story I can't really do anything else.

I think it helps me that I play mobile games like Plants Vs Zombies, which are basically the same kind of experience.
